Orange introduces a warm and vibrant tone to the series, enhancing the physicality of painting. The brushstrokes remain fully visible, transforming the surface into a field of tension and movement. As in the other *Monochromes (Self-Portraits)*, Schifano abandons figurative representation and entrusts color, materiality, and gesture with the construction of an identity that reveals itself through painting itself.
