Mario Schifano focuses his research on the expressive power of pure color. The surface, crossed by energetic brushstrokes and layered textures, preserves the memory of the painterly gesture, transforming the monochrome into a dynamic and vital space. The small letter at the center interrupts the chromatic field and introduces a subtle reference to identity, suggesting a self-portrait entrusted not to the image itself, but to the presence of painting.
