At the center, a sort of mountain-sculpture dominates, almost hollow, like a container open to the sky. Inside, a small group of trees can be glimpsed: a vital nucleus, hidden and protected, which seems to represent an interior, rather than a geographical, place. All around, elements escape gravity: suspended rocks, fragments floating in space, small, enigmatic objects. This sense of suspension creates an unreal dimension, where physical laws no longer apply and everything becomes mental, symbolic. The sky is intense, saturated, crossed by a warm, almost explosive cloud that contrasts with the deep blue of the background. This chromatic tension amplifies the feeling of anticipation, as if something were about to happen or had just transformed. The title is crucial: "I'll find you up there" introduces a narrative and emotional dimension. That "up there" is not just a physical place, but an internal destination, perhaps a memory, a quest, a postponed encounter. As often happens in Metaphysical Painting, Palumbo constructs an impossible yet meaningful space: here, natural architecture becomes both refuge and distance, something to be reached but never fully accessible.
