Untitled
Salvador Dalì
In this composition, Dalí accentuates the tension between verticality and deformation, constructing an image dominated by elongated and unstable forms that seem to defy gravity. The central figure, almost liquefied, recalls the artist's famous soft anatomies, while the surrounding elements—organic fragments, hints of landscape, minimal signs—contribute to creating a mental rather than physical space. Emptiness plays a fundamental role: it is not absence, but a projection field for unconscious images. The work thus emerges as a meditation on the metamorphosis and loss of consistency of reality, in which the body and the environment merge in a disturbing and unstable vision.
