In this work, the painter constructs an image on the verge of disappearance. The textile background, traversed by subtle tonal variations, introduces a temporal dimension, almost as if it were a surface that has absorbed traces and sediments. At the center, the small metallic intervention does not impose itself as a dominant sign, but presents itself as a note, an essential notation. More than a finished form, it is a restrained gesture, which remains open and ambiguous. Armodio avoids any narrative or decorative effect: the work is based on a minimal balance between material and sign. It is precisely this reduction that shifts attention to the perceptual process, inviting the gaze to slow down and grapple with an almost imperceptible presence.
