The work presents a simple, suspended composition: a pair of ankle boots isolated on a neutral surface, immersed in a silent, almost unreal atmosphere. From the very beginning, the everyday object loses its function and transforms into something ambiguous. The details—the soft surface, the visible stitching, and especially the small eyes on the sides—introduce an organic dimension that makes the shoes resemble living presences. This shift between object and creature generates a disturbing effect: the familiar becomes unsettling. The structure is rigorous and symmetrical, but not reassuring. The absence of the human body accentuates the sense of emptiness and transforms the shoes into traces of an absent identity, or shells ready to be inhabited. Even the color palette, playing on cold, dusty tones, contributes to creating a timeless, metaphysical dimension. Overall, Armodio constructs a minimal image yet dense with poetic tension, in which the boundary between the inanimate and the living becomes uncertain, allowing a subtle uneasiness to emerge.
