Armodio

The work stands out for its visionary composition and use of enigmatic symbols. In this image, we see two small red apples placed inside a bowl with irregular contours, accompanied by arrows that seem to indicate movement or direction. These elements are found in an apparently simple scene but full of symbolic implications, immersed in a suspended and surreal atmosphere. Red apples represent a universal symbol, which can refer to the myth of temptation or to purity thwarted by desire. However, in the context of Armodio's works, these elements take on an ambiguous connotation: they do not invite a direct interpretation but rather push the observer to question their function and their relationship with the container that contains them. The arrows seem to suggest a movement or a dialogue between the two fruits, evoking the theme of displacement or transition, also expressed by the title. In From there to there, Armodio uses the technique of tempera on wood with a mastery that highlights his sensitivity for texture and detail. The grainy background and the use of a muted color palette contrast with the brilliance of the apples, which emerge as central elements of the composition. This visual contrast amplifies the sense of detachment and introspection, characteristic of his pictorial language.
