Armodio
The work is full of meaning and reflections on the human condition, created in tempera on wood, a technique that allows the artist to obtain a visually compact surface rich in detail. Tempera, with its opaque texture, offers a pictorial effect that emphasizes the solidity of the figures and objects, giving them an almost sculptural consistency. Furthermore, this technique allows the development of an intense chromatic range, with precise and decisive shades, which capture the viewer and invite him to a deeper exploration. In the painting, Armodio represents a scene that seems suspended in time, where the concept of warning, and consequent urgency, is the central theme. The title itself, The Work, refers to a sense of finiteness and an imminent change, almost as if it wanted to communicate the need for a reaction or awareness. The figures and objects that populate the composition seem to be waiting, as if they were receiving, or had received, a message that will force them to confront reality directly. The composition, despite its apparent static nature, is dynamic in its emotional charge. Tempera painting, with its ability to freeze the moment, becomes the perfect tool to freeze the moment before the advent of a change, making "The Last Notice" a work that not only explores the tension between the past and the future, but also the fragility and precariousness of human existences.
