The work represents one of the Master's fascinating metaphysical visions, in which the concept of solitude is translated into enigmatic and highly evocative images. As in other works by the artist, the theme is addressed through a combination of symbolic elements, geometric compositions and an atmosphere of temporal suspension. In Solitudo, solitude is not represented directly, but evoked through the dialogue between the objects present in the scene. The elements close to each other, but separated from reality, refer to a sense of introspection and detachment from the outside world. The central figures appear dormant, in a state of eternal waiting, alluding to the idea of existential isolation. Armodio's technical mastery is reflected in the smooth surfaces, the meticulous details, and the color palette composed mainly of neutral shades, which contribute to the meditative atmosphere, if not for that intense red book that catches the eye on the left side of the composition. The shadows and lights are distributed with such precision as to create a three-dimensional effect. In Solitudo, and in many other works by Armodio, the recurrence of elements such as empty containers, decontextualized objects and abstract shapes reflects the desire to explore universal themes such as silence , reflection and the human condition. The representation of solitude is never melancholic, but rather contemplative and pushes the observer to reflect on his own relationship with the world and with himself.
