Armodio
"Armodio is a Morandi who tries to think of still life, never so alive and unpredictable as in his hands, almost as if he had the head of Rousseau the Customs Officer. It is a sort of
"noble savage" who uses the most skilled and mature of brushes to express the most anti-intellectual of worldviews.
I don't know if all this is surrealism, metaphysics or magical realism.
I know it is Armodio, unmistakably. I know it is witz, directed no other way than to the enjoyment of our eyes and our minds."
Vittorio Sgarbi, Armodio, Dipinti 1964 - 1997
