The influence of Metaphysics on Palumbo is clearly visible in this painting in which we see shapes that recall childhood toys, our thoughts immediately go to Savinio and his canvases with stacked toys. In this case the toys are suspended on a pedestal where a wing appears, a symbol of the artist's visionary nature and an element that is taken from various engravings by Durer.
