Massimo Barlettani
Massimo Barlettani was born in Volterra on February 26, 1956. From a young age, Barlettani nurtured a passion for painting, which led him to pursue a creative career. In 1979, he founded Studio Barlettani, which later evolved into Barlettani & Associati in 1989, an advertising agency that received numerous accolades for its creativity. At the same time, he founded the publishing house Zeta Scorpii Editore, through which he conceived and published dozens of volumes dedicated to art.
He was also one of the founders of Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo, contributing to the path of artistic research and promotion, and creating the “Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize” for young artists.
His artistic evolution saw him transition from abstract painting to a refined figuration of iconic elements, particularly female figures and natural motifs. Since 2012, his focus has shifted to the symbolic representation of life through ethereal floral imagery. His works, characterized by a technique that blends painting and photography, capture the ephemeral beauty of flowers and butterflies—symbols of life and fragility.
Barlettani has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2018, he was invited to the Osborne Studio Gallery in London for the exhibition “Spring”, dedicated to international figurative art. In 2024, he held his solo show “Fiori randagi” at the Roman gallery SpazioCima, presenting around 20 works that explore nature as a symbol of life and transience.
